Quick start — your first proposal
Brand your company, point the app at your rate catalog, and turn a walkthrough into a signed proposal.
Quick start
Clavoz turns a walkthrough into a proposal a homeowner can sign from their
phone. Three things to set up first, then the quote itself.
1. Your business details
Settings → Business profile holds everything that prints:
| Field | Where it appears |
|---|---|
| Logo | Proposal header, PDF, public link |
| License number | Proposal footer, PDF |
| Default payment terms | Proposal's payment section |
| Master contract text | The contract the client accepts |
2. Your rate catalog
Rate Catalog is what the builder searches when you type a line. It starts with
a shared trade base and learns from what you price: when you correct a
description or set a price the catalog did not know, that becomes evidence for
your next quote. Your own items always outrank the shared base.
3. A walkthrough, or a manual quote
Field tip: record a room, not a list. The parser groups what it hears into
rooms and scopes, which is what makes the review screen useful — a transcript of
unrelated phrases is not.
- Record from the quote builder (or New Quote → Start from a walkthrough).
- Review the parse: fix quantities, set prices, and check anything the parser
flagged. - Apply the scope. The lines land in the builder as ordinary lines you can
edit.
From there: add assemblies from a room card, set your Global Gross Margin
Controller, then Export PDF or Share Proposal — the same quote, two
surfaces.
